Introduction: Fudgy Brownies

Hope you enjoy making this recipe for brownies!

Step 1: (Ingredient List) (Implement List)

Ingredient List

1 cup butter cubed

4 ounces unsweetened chocolate, chopped

4 eggs

2 cups sugar

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1 cup all-purpose flour

1 cup (6 ounces) semisweet chocolate chips

1 cup chopped pecans, optional

Confectioner's sugar

Implement List

Large Bowl

Microwavable bowl

Knife

Beaters Or Large Spoon

Toothpicks

Spatula

Oven Mitts

13" x 9" pan

Cutting board

Step 2:

Gather ingredients.

Step 3:

Gather the needed implements.

Step 4:

Chop the unsweetened chocolate.

Step 5:

Put the cup of butter and the chopped up unsweetened chocolate in a container that is microwave safe.

Step 6:

Put the chocolate and butter into the microwave and melt the butter and chocolate. Stir with a spoon every 30 seconds until the mixture is smooth. Afterwards, let it cool.

Step 7:

Crack the eggs and put the entire egg minus the shell into a bowl.

Step 8:

Put the sugar into the bowl.

Step 9:

Mix the eggs and the sugar until smooth.

Step 10:

Stir in the vanilla and chocolate mixture.

Step 11:

Preheat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.

Step 12:

Gradually add the flour into the mixture. Mix the flour as you add it in. Mix until there are no clumps of flour and the mixture is smooth.

Step 13:

Stir in the chocolate chips and pecans if you so choose. ( I like my brownies without the pecans but you can do whatever you want)

Step 14:

Grease a 13 x 9 pan. (I used a can of pam to grease the pan but you can also melt butter and grease it that way.)

Step 15:

Transfer mixture from bowl to 9 x 13 pan. (I find using a plastic spatula the easiest to transfer the mixture because then I can scrape the sides of the bowl so very little of the mixture doesn't get transferred to the pan.)

Step 16:

Put the 9 x 13 pan containing the brownie mixture into the preheated oven for 35-40 mins.

Step 17:

At the 35 minute mark insert a toothpick into the center of the brownie. When done the chocolate will still slightly stick to the toothpick, you don't want the toothpick to come out completely clean or the brownies will be overcooked and won't be as moist. If the brownies are not done put the pan back into the oven and check every 5 minutes until done.

Step 18:

Lightly dust the top of the brownies with confectioner's sugar. (This type of sugar is also called powdered sugar)

Step 19:

Congratulations you have finished the brownies now comes the fun part where you get to eat them! Enjoy!
