Introduction: Garden Ponds Network in Your Backyard - DIY Idea

About: Landscaping my backyard since 2003.

Hello friends,

Since 2003, I built many water gardening projects in my backyard.

Now it's a closed loop ponds network.

Water course:

Step 1: DIY Wall Waterfall

This is the top head of my waterfall.

Built from fieldstones or flagstones.

Useful for water circulation, aeration.

Step 2: DIY Rock Waterfall

The pond waterfall was built after the pond.

It's a small bassin too and a natural filter if you install peat before the output of the waterfall.

Step 3: DIY Garden Pond

It's a 20 feet x 40 feet basin and the central feature of my water garden.

After 10 years, fauna and flora settled in and around the pond.

Step 4: DIY Garden Stream

Idea for a sloped backyard.

Why not a cascading garden stream?

I built this 200 feet stream just with a round stovel ( I know, i'm crazy!)

Step 5: DIY Garden Bridge

Over my 200 feet garden stream I built this 22 feet arched backyard bridge.

Idea for pond, stream, dry streambed...

Step 6: DIY Pond De-Icer

For extreme climate in winter and to keep your fish save... you don't have a choice...

You must install a sub de-Icer in your pond late in fall.
