Hello there! I hip just adopted my first gerbil in an aquarium tank. I was trying to make a second floor out of cardboard but he kept slipping off so I poked holes in the ramp. He didn't like the platform so I removed it and put the ramp in his cup. About a week later I discovered that he was using the ramp as a toilet. I am going to show you how to make that toilet. (Note: this might not work for everyone, though it usually takes a week to start working)

For this step all you need to do is cut out a tile of cardboard.
Step 3: Poke the Holes
Finally you need to poke holes in the cardboard with the ends of your scissors or knife.
Step 4: Thanks
Thanks for reading my first Instructable. I hope this works for you because it increases the time between cleans. Remember to leave it out for about a week.

This is a great post, your lucky that the gerbil adjusted so quickly it took a month for my gerbils to start using their jar as a toilet!
