Giant Rice Krispies Treat

About: Hey y'all! My name is Lydia and I want to share my passion for cooking/baking with everyone!

O.K. Let me start of by saying, I'm addicted to Rice Krispies treats, there I said it! I honestly don't know what it is about these treats that gets me every time, I just can't stop eating them, so I like to make mine GIANT. Does anyone else have this problem? You can of course, just cut this giant bar into smaller pieces but I thought it would be fun to keep it big. Also there are only three ingredients to this recipe that should be easy to purchase from any grocery store. If you want to make your own giant Rice Krispies Treat then follow the step by step instructable below or watch this video tutorial here:

Step 1: Ingredients & Tools

Ingredients

  • 3 tablespoons Butter
  • 1 package (10 oz) JET-PUFFED Marshmallows
  • 6 cups Rice Krispies cereal

Tools

Step 2: Melt Butter

In large saucepan melt butter over low heat.

Step 3: Add Marshmallows

Once the butter is melted, add marshmallows and stir until completely melted. Remove from heat.

Step 4: Mixing in Cereal

Add KELLOGG'S RICE KRISPIES cereal (or anytime of cereal that is similar). Stir until well coated.

Step 5: Add Mixture Into Pan

Using buttered spatula or wax paper evenly press mixture into 9x9 inch pan coated with cooking spray (you can also use slightly clean damped hands to press mixture in) Cool for a few hours.

Step 6: Remove From Pan

Flip the pan onto a clean surface. Give it a little tap and the treat should plop right out! I allowed mine to cool in the refrigerator for a few hours and it allowed the bar to come out easy without a mess.

Step 7: Enjoy!

You can cut it up or enjoy the giant bar. Also if you placed it in the refrigerator, allow it to come to room temperature.
