Goulougoulou Game

This is my final Makerspace project, it is a small platformer game that I hope to fine tune later on.

Step 1: Choosing a Concept and Platform

I chose to create a video game because I had previously worked on one during our second project. I chose the MMF2 software as it is a lot easier to use than the Unity Engine. Finally, the platformer-style game concept seemed fitting with the project. As for the title, I chose a phrase I often use.

Step 2: Design

The design was created by using the background of the original Sonic The Hedgehog game as it is aesthetically appealing. For the sprites and animation, I thought of the old Mortal Kombat animation style, the picture-by-picture technique.

Step 3: Sprite Creation

This step involved taking pictures of myself, then re-sizing to fit the sprite format, as well as changing them to png files. Then cropping them to make them become sprites.

Step 4: Assembly

At this point, all that is left is to assemble in order create the game. This also include coding the sprites.

Step 5: Test and Play

After assembly, trying out the mechanics was the last thing left to do
