Introduction: Grilled Cheese Experiment

About: I like weird stuff.

Greetings Folks, This is my first Instructable.

This idea came about from two ideas when I was hungry. My first experiment happened one day while I was foraging for food in the refrigerator. I ran across two pieces of French Toast and a hamburger. Being a culinary daredevil, I slapped the meat patty between the French Toast and chowed downed. The experiment wasn't to bad taste wise and it was filling (It hit the stomach like a load of bricks.) This got me to thinking “What other things could I make French Toast like?” One answer Is Grilled Cheese.

Step 1: Ingredients/tools

2 slices of bread

2 slices of pepper jack cheese or cheese of choice.

1 teaspoon of garlic

1/4 cup of water or milk (was out of milk)

a skillet

small pan big enough to fit a slice of bread

Fork or Whisk

a spatula

Plate

Step 2: Grab Your Eggs

In a Pan, Crack two eggs add ¼ cup
water or milk

Beat vigorously with fork or whisk until uniformly yellow

stir in garlic.

Step 3: Soak

Add butter to skillet then pre heat the skillet

soak bread in egg mixture flip so that both sides are coated.

then fry bread in skillet

Step 4: Flip Bread Add Cheese

Once the side 1 of both pieces of bread are a golden brown flip and add cheese on top (forgot to take picture of cheese ontop.)

Step 5: Fold Together

Fold together your sandwich and make sure your cheese slices are kissing in a passionate embrace.

transfer to plate.

Step 6: Conclusion

Conclusion: Things I have learned

This sandwich is very hot, and needs to sit a bit before eating

Pepper jack cheese does not photograph well

I should check frozen cheese slices for freezer burn before using in an experiment.

The texture of the sandwich is a little weird.

The sandwich at best tries to pass itself off as a quiche, at worst a soggy sandwich.

If I repeat this, I might try filling with sliced olives, sliced mushrooms, red bell pepper,(anything that fits in an omelet) adding salt to egg mixture.
