Did you know that you can make calls from your Gmail account free to U.S. and Canadian Phone Numbers?

Gmail Voice has made it easy to stay in touch with friends and family using your computer’s microphone and speakers.

This used to required both people to be at their computers, signed into Gmail at the same time.

BUT now, you can use your Gmail Voice to call people directly on their phones!!!

Calls to the U.S. and Canada (from the U.S. or Canada) will be free for at least the rest of the year (2010) and calls to other countries will be billed at  very low rates.

Here's how you set it up.  It takes less than 5 minutes.

Step 1: SIGN INTO YOUR GMAIL ACCOUNT

Step 2: SCROLL DOWN TO YOUR NAME AND HIT MAXIMIZE

note: this may already be done. if so, got to next step.

Step 3: CLICK 'CALL PHONE'

Step 4: CLICK 'ACCEPT'

Follow the instructions to add application.  You will have to install a small executable and run it for you to use GOOGLE VOICE. It takes about 3 minutes to set-up.

Step 5: MAKE a CALL
