Materials:

• oven
• spoons
• skillet

• cutting board
• tray for pie
• standing mixer / or you can do it by hand

## Step 2: Pie Dough

Ingredients:

• 4 cups of flour.
• 2 tablespoons of sugar
• ½ tablespoon of salt
• 3 unsalted butter sticks, cold and cubed.
• 2/3 cup of cold water
• 1 egg

Method:

In a stand mixer equipped with a paddle attachment, combine flour, sugar and salt at medium-low speed (approximately 30 seconds). Increase the speed to medium and flow in cold water, followed by cold butter cubes, finally add an egg. Continue mixing at medium speed (about 2 minutes). Stop mixing just before the butter is fully incorporated (the dough will be scratched and the pieces of butter should be the size of peas). Transfer the dough to a floured surface and divide it into two balls. Flat each one in a disk, wrap it in plastic and let it cool for at least 1 hour.

## Step 3: Apple Pie Filling

The ingredients:

• 8 apples, peeled, heartless, sliced
• 1/3 stick of unsalted butter
• ¾ cup of sugar
• 1/3 dark brown sugar
• ¼ cup of bourbon
• pinch of nutmeg
• ¼ teaspoon sea salt

Method:

In a large bowl, or in a container, mix the sugar, brown sugar, nutmeg, cinnamon, and salt. Add the apple slices and mix until the apples are well covered. Melt the butter in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the apples in the melted hot butter. Cook over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until the apples are tender (approximately 30 minutes). Remove from heat, let cool to room temperature, and place the nut

## Step 4: To Assemble & Bake

The ingredients:

• Pie dough (cooled)
• Apple pie filling (chilled)
• 1 egg, shake (for egg)

Method:

Preheat the oven to 350 ° F. On a floured surface, spread out 1 dough portion, then transfer it to a cake pan, gently pressing down and to the sides. Pour chilled apples into the peel of the cake. Stir the other ball of dough, rattle the symbol of pi (), place it on top of the cake, seal the edges pressing around the edge of the cake with a fork. Trim around the edges as needed. Brush the surface of the cake with egg. Bake for 35-40 minutes until the dough is browned. Let cool in a rack for 30 minutes. I also take another portion of dough to create the letters "MoonMaker". Fill a tray with butter, and place in the oven, when it is a little golden, take them
