My nine year old son wanted to make Chocolate frogs for the contest. He loves cooking and he also has a few food allergies so he was inspired to make this version allergy free (at least for him).

Step 1: Materials

First you will need a few materials.

  1. A double boiler
  2. Chocolate (we got dark chocolate chunks)
  3. A frog mold (find it here on Amazon)

Step 2: Melt the Chocolate

Put water in the bottom of the double boiler and chocolate on the top. Using a double boiler will keep your chocolate from sticking and scorching.

Keep heating until it is smoothly melted all the way through.

Step 3: Pour Into the Mold

So many allergies out there, it's nice to hear about a mom who gives her child an alternative to a pop culture food!
