This Valentine's Day, give your "special someone" some sweet, healthy, homemade crackers. This variety is made with half wheat flour, and cinnamon sugar on the top. These are quick and easy to make, and make a great snack.
Step 1: Materials
Most Instructables have a materials page, here is mine:
You will need:
1. White Flour
2. Wheat Flour
3. Measuring Cup
4. Measuring Spoons
6. Toppings such as cinnamon sugar, salt, or honey.
9. baking powder
10. Cutting Board
11. 2 Baking Sheets

Step 2: Preheat Oven
Heat your Oven to 400 degrees.
Step 3: Add Flour
Add one cup white flour to the bowl. Do the same with wheat flour.
Step 4: Add Other Dry Ingredients
Add one teaspoon baking powder, and 1/2 teaspoon salt to the flour. Mix it up!
Step 5: Add Liquid Ingredients
Add 1/3 cup oil, and 2/3 cup water to the mix.
Step 6: Mix the Dough
Using a large spoon, mix up the dough.
Step 7: Roll the Dough
Place your lump of dough on a nonstick cutting board. Using a rolling pin, roll the dough to about 3/8 of an inch. It should be a large piece of rolled dough.
Step 8: Make the Hearts
Use a standard heart- shaped cookie cutter, cut hearts out of the dough. Place the hearts on an oiled cookie sheet.
Step 9: Prepare
Brush the tops with oil, and sprinkle on your toppings. If using honey, add nothing as a topping, and add the honey after they come out of the oven.
Step 10: Bake!
Bake at 400 degrees for 15-18 min, or until the crackers are mostly hard.
Step 11: Closing Remarks
You should use the dough leftover from the first round of hearts, roll it again, and make some more. Enjoy!
