In games, everything is stored as 2 files. One is the model that tells it the shape, and one is the texture that tells what to color the model with. In all games based on the Steam engine, if you are missing the texture file it will appear as a grid of pink and black squares.

thank you so much!! it wasn't hard to do- you make strips where you alternate every 8 stithces in color. then you sew the strips together and put a border of single crochet around the edges. the cool part about this set is that when you are done you wash it in baking soda and fabric softener and it makes the yarn and pieces shrink tightly and then feel like felt- it's actually called "felting". thanks!

Those are some really beautiful blankets. Where can I learn some of those stitches? (especially the ones for the lace edge on that pink and purple blanket at the end of the slideshow.)

thank you so much!! You know those blankets I made up as I went along. the one with the lacy pink edging I just picked random stitches out of my book called "crochet school"- it has every stitch you can think of and easy directions to follow. I made each square a different stitch and then stitched them all together and picked a lacy stitch for around the outside. hope this helps!!

It's lovely to see that people still crochet and make things instead of just going to the store and buying them ready made. Keep it up !
