Introduction: Help to Fight World Hunger From Your Chair While Eating Doughnuts.

I've just discovered Freerice.com, a non-profit website run by the United Nations World Food Program, and am amazed by it.

The site contain educational quizzes, i.e. where you choose the correct definition of a word or name a country on a map.

Unlike other quiz sites, rice is donated for every question that you answer.

Step 1: Go to Freerice.com

Go to    http://www.freerice.com
   and start playing.

There is no sign up or anything to do other than playing a game.

"FreeRice has two goals:
Provide education to everyone for free.Help end world hunger by providing rice to hungry people for free.

This is made possible by the generosity of the sponsors who advertise on this site.

According to the United Nations, a child dies every 10 seconds from hunger related causes.Though 10 grains of rice may seem like a small amount, it is important to remember that while you are playing, so are thousands of other people at the same time. It is everyone together that makes the difference. Thanks to you, FreeRice has generated enough rice to feed millions of people since it started in October 2007."
