This is a delicious favourite that goes well with turkey dinner.

To make it you will need;
2 large rutabagas peeled and cut into cubes (These are sometimes called turnips but turnips are actually smaller. Rutabagas are large and are coated in wax to preserve them)
2 tbsp. butter
I tsp. baking powder
3 tbsp. flour
1 tbsp. brown sugar
2 eggs
Salt and pepper
1 box cheesy crackers smashed up.
You may want to brown the cracker crumbs in butter. That's optional but it sure makes it taste better!

Cover the rutabaga with water and boil in a big pot till soft. Drain and mash with a potato masher. Stir in the butter, baking powder, flour and brown sugar. Whisk in the eggs quickly before they solidify. Salt and pepper to taste. Transfer to a casserole dish and cover evenly with the crackers. Bake at 350 degrees for 40 minutes or until the topping browns.
Enjoy!
