Homemade Salsa From Scratch

Does anyone ever just crave chips and salsa? I know I do and going to a Mexican restaurant isn't something I can do whenever I want. So why not make it at home. Homemade salsa is so good! Did I mention it's also easy and comes together so fast! The flavors are so amazing in this salsa! I always try to tell everyone to make every recipe their own by add more or less of the ingredients (not in baking). Step 1: Ingredients and Tools

Ingredients

  • 2 (14.5 oz) cans Diced Tomatoes
  • 1 (4.5 oz) can diced Green Chilis
  • 4 cloves Garlic (sliced)
  • ½ Onion (chopped)
  • 1 Jalapeno (deseeded and sliced)
  • ½ teaspoon ground Cumin
  • ½ Tablespoon Honey
  • ½ Cup Cilantro
  • Salt (to your tasting)
  • Lime Juice (to your tasting)

Tools

Step 2: Add Tomatoes and Chilis

To a food processor add diced tomatoes and the green chilis.

Step 3: Prep Garlic, Onions and Jalapeños

Sliced garlic and chopped onion. Deseed and slice jalapeño.

Step 4: Add Ingredients to Food Processor

Add in onion, garlic and jalapeño into food processor.

Step 5: Add Seasonings and Blend

Add cumin, honey and cilantro. Process for about 30 seconds.

Step 6: Salt and Lime Juice

Slice lime. Add in salt and lime juice to your tasting to the rest of your ingredient.

Step 7: Process and Enjoy!

Process again for a few seconds or until salsa is to your desired consistency.
