Homemade Stainless Rose

About: Just a fellow who want's to learn new tricks and skills.

This is simple rose made from 5 pieces of 1.5mm thick stainless steel.

Cutting can be done with the angle grinder, or rotary tool like i did.

For shaping i used ball head hammer. Parts are soldered together with silver and flux.

Step 1: Templates

Here's the templates for cutting. Not perfect ones, because some of the shape is free formed.
But, those are somewhat good start.

Step 2:

First video shows the cutting and shaping process.

Best result comes with multiple smooth hits, instead of couple "big ones"

Second video shows the soldering and smoothening process.

I removed the hammer marks with the rotary tool, using tungsten carbide cutters and sanding disks.

Thank you. Yes, it should last. I tought mounting it to horseshoe heart would give nice contrast to it when horseshoe starts to darken over the years.
