Create your own string instrument by following these steps!

Step 1: Gather Your Materials/tools

Any kind of small box (cardboard) that will not break easily or bend
Get rubber bands {you will need a lot incase they break}
Find a recycled paper towel roll
Scissors
hot glue gun
hot glue sticks

Step 2: Make Your Instrument

First get your box and place the paper towel roll in the middle of any side you want
Cut a hole in where you are going to put your roll but make sure it sizes just right so that the roll can go in but there is not too much space between the roll and the hole.
Hot glue the paper towel roll to the box so that it will stay there and help to keep it sturdy
Cut 5 little slabs at the top of the roll so that the it wonʻt bend easily
Put the rubber bands around the box and in the slabs of the roll

Step 3: Tune It!

To tune your instrument adjust the string you put around your box and roll

To adjust the string pull up to tighten if you want a higher sound or pull down to loosen if you want the sound lower You can adjust to any note you want
