Step 1: Materials

Soda bottle (just the cap)
Bic Pen
Light Bulb

Hot Glue Gun

Step 2: Prepare the Light Bulb

The first part in preparing the light bulb is cutting the bottom out,
first remove the metal "disk" out of the bottom with scissors

Step 3: Prepare the Light Bulb 2

Tunnel into the bulb and get rid of the black stuff and the insides (the glass tube and wire part)
remember your dealing with glass!

Step 4: Prepare the Light Bulb Part 3

Now pour salt into your light bulb and shake it up, it will remove all that white stuff from the inside and leave a nice clear bulb to work with, wash out the salt when your done with water, now our light bulb is ready!

Step 5: Prepare Your Pen

pull the insides out of your pen till your left with the tube

Step 6: Prepare the Cap

use a screwdriver and a hammer and make a whole in the cap then use scissors to make it wide enough for the pen tube

Step 7: Put the Tube Into the Cap

insert your tube into your cap and use hot glue around it

Step 8: Put Them Together

now just tape the bottom to the top and your done!

How do you fill the bulb with water? With such a teeny tiny hole....it seems impossible

Great idea. I think I'm gonna use a Jones soda bottle in exchange for a light bulb. Anyway, good idea, I was thinking there would be a better way to do this, rather than buying one of those Aqua globes.
