Homemade firestarters are the key to a problem I have.The problem i have is that sometime on cold days when you light a match the kindling does not light but with the firestarter you just light it up roll it under the kindling and within moments your fire is started.

Step 1: Ingredients

1 toilet paper roll

1 dryer sheet with lint

1 sheet of newspaper

Step 2: Building

This is how you build the fire starter first you take the toilet paper roll and you stuff the inside with lint then make two balls of newspaper and stuff one in each end so the lint does not fall out.

Step 3: The Science

Heres the science in it you light the newspaper on one side then it will ignite the lint which is fast and strong which will light the other newspaper in turn lighting the toilet paper roll which will burn long enough for the kindling to light and the fire to go out.
