Introduction: Hotdog-Snakes

Ingredients:

for the dough:       - 500 gram flour
                             - 20 gram yeast
                             - a pinch of sugar
                             - a small spoon of salt
                             - a big spoon of olive-oil
                             - 300 ml of warm water

everything else:   - 10 hotdogs
                            - 1 egg
                            - one piece of parmesan-cheese
                            - one onion
                            - pepper (red) / marinated

instruction:

Put the flour in a bowl and make a small hollow in the middle. Mix the yeast with the sugar and a bit of the water. Add the mixture to the flour and mix it a bit into it. Add the salt, oil and the rest of the water and mix everything to yeast-dough. The dough should be soft but not sticky. After finishing it, put it in a closed bowl and place it on a warm place for 30 minutes. After that the volume of the dough should be much bigger.

During that time, place a baking paper on the baking sheet. When the dough is ready divide it into 10 same pieces. Take one piece and make a 30 centimetre long string. It is easier to do it when the hands are a bit wet. On one side make it a bit thinner than the rest (tail), on the other side a bit bigger (head). Continue until every piece is done. Now take the hotdogs, wrap the strings around it and place it on the baking sheet.

Tip: Normally it looks better after baking when the head is on top of the hotdog.

For the face take a scissors and cut a small "mouth" into the snakes head and place a piece of the pepper in it. For the eyes i like to use some small fried pieces of onion!

Heat the oven to 180°C and beat the egg during that time. Coat the egg on the snakes and disperse the parmesan-cheese over it. Now bake it for 25 minutes in the oven!
