Hey y'all, this is a quick and generally easy tutorial on how to draw a little chihuahua. This is my first instructable, so please let me know how it is and how I can improve. :)

Step 1: Step 1: a Pretty Basic Shape
Lightly sketch an oval, with a somewhat flat top and bottom. This will be the main part of the head, draw it as small or as large as you like. :)
Step 2: Step 2: Some Ears
Yep, these are the ears. Draw them protruding from the top sides of the head. They have a some what piggish feel to them, they are basically warped triangles. Don't worry if they don't look just right, they don't need to. Simply keep in mind that the ears should be pretty large. :)
Step 3: Step 3: Begin the Facial Features
Draw a small, oval nose near the bottom of the face, right down the middle. Draw 2 circles for eyes, spaced equally apart, above the nose on either side of the face. I know it looks rough, but hang in there, it smooths out later on. :)
Step 4: Step 4: Focus on the Eyes
Now the eye detail starts. First, draw in 1 big circle within the first. Then, draw 2 small circles, one above the other, inside that for "eye shines" (the reflection of light off of the pupils).
Step 5: Step 5: Begin Shading the Eyes
Now, within the big circle you just drew, carefully begin shading it until it's black. This is the pupil. Be careful to avoid the eye shines, the whole point is to keep them white. :) then, shade the sliver of circle left a light shade of grey. Congrats, the eyes are done!
Step 6: Step 6: Adding Shape to the Face
Lightly form some round cheeks for our little pup that lead up to the nose, leaving a line for the mouth. Shade in the nose, leaving 2 small white circles for nostrils.
Step 7: Step 7: Ears
Draw in the inside of the ear. Do this lightly, so that you can go back and refine the shape. Mine are kinda off, but I fixed them in the next step. :) now, add some cute fluffy eyebrows! Put them close to the eyes for a more serious or concerned look, or place them high for a surprised, innocent look. There are many possibilities, go ahead and play around with them. :)
Step 8: Step 8: Shading and Fluffy Adorableness!
Go ahead and shade in the inside ear, refining the shape as you go. After that, add adorable fluffy hair here and there on the ears, cheeks, and such. :) you can do this by making a bunch of small, gentle triangles all bunched up together.
Step 9: The Last Step!
If you like, add some shadows or blush marks under the eyes. Clean up the edges and you're done! :) Please let me know if you have any questions! :) I'd be happy to try and answer them. :)
