How to Enter the Cake Contest

Intro: How to Enter the Cake Contest

Cakes make people happy. We like cake.

We want you to be happy too, so we're holding a Cake Contest!

Show us the coolest cakes you can make.

Cakes are about both tastiness and beauty, so you can choose to focus on tasty recipes or decoration. Describe how to make your favorite deliciously gooey chocolate cake, or demonstrate how to turn a sheet cake into a fully decked-out pirate ship. It's up to you.

If you made an awesome cake a while ago and don't have in-progress photos, draw some diagrams or use SketchUp to explain the construction process.

The only requirement: it must be about a full-sized cake.
- Pie is not cake.
- Cupcakes are not full-sized cakes.

Got it? Now get baking!

How do you enter a cake contest, sorry I'm new

I really wish I would've seen this a few days ago. I made an amazing looking octopus cake for a friends birthday. It definately would've been a contender.

May be a stupid question, but, it says there are 41 entries, but, when you click to view them all, you only get to see 38 of them. What happened to the other 3?

I put up 3 instructables into the cake contest but I can only find the first one I posted. The second one was posted more than 2 days ago. the third one was just posted. Am I limited to just one entry for the contest?

Thanks, I see the tank one now. The other one was unpublished because it was too short. It was more of a technique tip than a cake instructable.

The category where it is most clearly the winner is the one it takes. So if it's a close race for votes, but it's way ahead in pageviews, then it wins for pageviews.

If I were to bake a cake, cut it into smaller portions, and then decorate each single portion individually, would I qualify?

The cake is a lie I might try making a vanilla crazy cake, complete with garnishes such as fish shaped solid waste, sediment-shaped sediment, and a companion cube (If you haven't played Portal you'll have no idea what I'm talking about)

Sorry for the late response. Entries must be from within the time period to be eligible since contests are to encourage new Instructables.
