How to Make a Football Team Spirt Pumpkin Carving

Halloween is right around the corner and what better way to celebrate than to carve your own pumpkin! Rather than doing the classic pumpkin face I wanted to carve a pumpkin that I can support my team with.

Step 1: Picking a Pumpkin

The very first step to carving a pumpkin is to pick a pumpkin.

Step 2: Carving Off the Top

After you have your pumpkin you are ready to start carving away, the first caring you need to do is start with carving off the top of the pumpkin by the stem. Carve a circle around the stem so you can remove it.

Step 3: Removing the Lid

After you carve off the top, simply remove it by pulling up on the stem
If its stuck just slide a knife or something between it and pry it up.

Step 4: Pulling Out the Guts

After you have the top of the pumpkin off you have to pull all of the seeds and guts out of the pumpkin. You can use a large spoon or other object to scrape the guts out.

Step 5: Drawing Your Design

Once you have all of the guts out of the pumpkin, you can than draw your design you want to cut on the side of the pumpkin (you don't have to draw a design it just makes it easier)

Step 6: Cutting Out Your Design

Once you have drawn a design on the pumpkin you may than proceed to cut it out (i drew a football helmet and a star.)

Step 7: Candles

Once you have your design on the pumpkin put a candle (or several candles depending on the pumpkins size) into the pumpkin place the lid on it, and enjoy!
