If you start catching your own shad or other types of bait for catfish fishing you will without a doubt ultimately hang it up on something and tear it or damage it. When you hang up a cast net you should be careful to free the net  to help minimize the damage but some times you just cannot avoid it.

Depending on how extensive the damages are you can often times make some minor repairs and salvage the net or at least keep it usable saving you time and money and most importantly keeping you on the water catfish fishing.
