Introduction: How To: Ride a Unicycle

Learning how to ride a unicycle is really fun but can be really hard at times. The key to making this successful is by not getting frustrated. You'll have to take your time and be patient as it is something you most likely won't get first try. All you will need is good foot wear and a unicycle, if necessary you can wear a helmet and elbow/knee pads.

Step 1: Step 1

Grab the unicycle by the front of the seat and put the seat between your legs.

Step 2: Step 2

Put the pedals so that the left one is in the back and the right one is in the front.

Step 3: Step 3

Make the pedals parallel with the ground so it's easy to get on.

Step 4: Step 4

Lean forwards and remove your left foot from the ground and place it on the left pedal.

Step 5: Step 5

Hold onto the seat with whatever hand feels more comfortable and you may want to hold onto the wall or someone else with your other hand for extra balance.

Step 6: Step 6

Put pressure onto the left pedal so the unicycle comes underneath you.

Step 7: Step 7

Quickly take your right foot off the ground and place it onto the right pedal. Hold onto the wall at first so you're in one spot before you start to pedal.

Step 8: Step 8

You will now be on the unicycle and need to use your balance so that you don't fall frontwards, backwards or side to side while you pedal. Make sure you don't pedal to fast or too slow or you will fall.

Step 9: Step 9

It may help to lean forward so that you have more balance going forward. If you go frontwards too much then you'll have to pedal faster to regain the stability you need.

Step 10: Step 10

You may need to take a lot of time to practice because it can be difficult. Once you get the hang of it then you'll be confident and be able to succeed more and more each time. Therefore, this is how you can learn to properly ride a unicycle. I hope that these steps will be very helpful with your adventure to learn.
