This is a detailed explanation about how to tie a tie. This how to covers the most common knot known as the Windsor Knot. After seeing many of the other tie e-hows, I decided to make a how to myself. I am the owner of a website that shows its viewers how to tie 15 different knots. I made these diagrams to help guide you through. Step 1: How to Tie a Tie Step 1

Drape the tie over your neck, with the wide end of the tie on your right. The wide end should hang about a foot or so lower than the narrow end.

Step 2: How to Tie a Tie Step 2

Cross the wide end over the narrow end and bring the wide end up and through the inside of the loop around your neck

Step 3: How to Tie a Tie Step 3

Bring the wide end back down, around and behind the narrow end.

Pull the wide end up on your right, then put down through loop and across the narrow end. (Refer Step 4 and 5)

Turn and pass up through the loop around your neck. (Refer Step 6 and 7)

Complete the knot by pushing the wide end down through the front of the knot.

Tighten the knot carefully as you flatten out any wrinkles.

    Oh, I guess I need to correct myself, you do describe a full windsor; you just have a link to a half windsor video in the first step.

    Oh, and you may want to correct your intro. You say, "This is a detailed explanation about how to tie a tie. This how to covers the most common knot known as the Windsor Knot. " and then you go on to describe hot to tie a HALF Windsor Knot. Two different knots, by far.
