Hello! My name is Jake, and I am going to be your trusty companion throughout this PC building process. I have made this Instructable in order to teach you how to properly put together all of the bits and pieces of this marvelous mechanism. Feel free to go through these instructions as slow as you desire, because there really is no time limit to building your own personal computer, as long as you assemble everything properly, then you will be gaming in no time. So without further ado, let's get started!!!
The supplies you will need are as follows: anti-static screwdriver, an anti-static mat, an anti-static wristband, a decently large work table, and an organized container to store your screws, and one small tube of grey thermal paste.

Step 1: Ground Yourself to the Computer.
This can easily be accomplishes by strapping an anti-static wristband to your wrist and using the sharp clip end to attach it to your case.Now you can avoid harmful static electricity!
Step 2: Open the Side Panel of Your Computer Case
Next you should open up the side panel of your computer. It should look something like the picture displayed for this step. Just set it off to the side for now, but we will need it later.
Step 3: Motherboard Time!
Find your motherboard and put it down in front of you on the anti-static mat...That's literally all you have to do.
Step 4: Plug Your RAM Into the RAM Slots.
Your RAM is the basic storage that every computer needs in order to store date about booting up. The RAM are rectangle shaped cards that go into colored slots. Make sure that they are locked in. You will know if they are locked into the slot, because the holders on the side will go down and sort of "lock" into place. Do not worry however, as they can be taken out fairly easily by peeling the cartridge locks back and gently removing the cards.
Step 5: I GOT THE POWAH!
As amazing the song by Snap is, this unfortunately has nothing to do with rap. The power supply looks like the image above and you will want to plug the power cord into the slot on the switch side of the cable, and then put the other plug end into an outlet of your choosing, preferably one close to your work table. Next you are gonna want to plug the 24-pin connector into its slot. An easy way to figure out where this goes would be to look for the long receiver on the motherboard with lots of holes that consist of different shapes.
Step 6: CPU
Next you will want to set your CPU into its designated spot. You will know which one is the correct spot because it will be a large open square space in the middle of your motherboard. Go ahead and lift the little lever or "arm" upwards so you can set the processor into place. Make sure to be extremely gentle while doing this, as it is possible to bend the pins on the back of the processor. Set it gently into the slot and it should somewhat sink itself into place correctly. If it does not do this, the feel free to give it a slight tap on which ever side has not sunk into place yet. Once you are sure that your processor is in place, go ahead and pull the lever back down in order to secure the processor.
Step 7: Heat Sink & Thermal Paste
Take the thermal past tube and use it to apply the thermal paste to the top of your processor. You should only apply an amount that is the same size as a grain of rice. After you have done this, go ahead and stick the heat sink on and lock it into place using both of the cooling brackets.
Step 8: ITS ALLLIIIIIIIVE!!!
Now we are going to make sure the parts function properly before assembling them into the case. We can do this by touching the tip of our anti-static screwdriver in between the two pins that are labeled +PW. If all goes well then your heat sink fan will start spinning, you will here a beep and BIOS will begin to boot up in order to start the computer. Do not worry if there is no beep, that just means that you do not have a mini speaker plugged in which is perfectly okay.
Step 9: Here We Go Again...
Now you will want to unplug everything from the motherboard however make sure you remember where you plugged everything into, maybe take a picture of it if that helps. Now you are going to want to place the motherboard into the case and line each of the holes near every corner of the motherboard up with the holes in the case. These holes are more commonly known as the standoff holes. After you screw those bad boys in, you are going to want to plug everything in again.
Step 10: Good Job!
Now put your hard drive into the lock slot, plug it into your motherboard after you plug everything else in. Close the case, connect a display port (superior display option) to your monitor and turn the bad boy on! Now you are all set!
