Step 1: To Start, Finely Slice Some Chives.

Step 2: Egg Mix.

In a bowl add:

  • 1/2 cup of milk.
  • 3 eggs.
  • chives.
  • Season with salt and pepper.
  • 1 teaspoon of onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon of garlic powder

Step 3: Start by Breaking the Yolks Before Whisking Together Making Sure All of the Eggs and Milk Are Combined.

This amount of mixture is enough for at least 4 to 6 pieces.

Step 4: Slice Some Bread, Bread From That Has Started to Go Stale.

This gives the bread each strength once dipped in the egg mixture.

Step 5: Place a Pan of Medium Heat, Add Some Butter.

Dip the bread into the egg mixture, make sure to turn it over and let it soak up as much as it can.

Transfer to the pan.

Step 6: Cook on the First Side Until It’s Golden Brown.

Flip and brown the other side.

Step 7: To Finish It Off Move the French Toast Onto a Tray.

Place in the oven set to 390f or 200c until the bread has crisped up.

Step 8: There You Have It! Savoury French Toast.

This is the perfect alternative to the sweet version if you’re more of a savory person like me.

Looks delicious! I'd be tempted to add some grated cheese right before putting it into the oven- blue cheese being my favorite, but obviously that's a matter of preference....
