This takes everything we know and love about buffalo wings and places them in a sandwich.

Add a Teacher Note to share how you incorporated it into your lesson.
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp onion powder
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp sweet paprika
Mix into the flour.
Next, You Need a Bowl Filled With Buttermilk.
To help create a crunchier breading on the chicken add a small amount of buttermilk to the flour and mix through.
Step 2: Then Take a Chicken Thigh and Coat in the Buttermilk Before Moving to the Flour.
Fully coat the chicken in the flour.
By using one hand for the wet and one for the dry you won’t end up with club hands.
Once all the chicken has been coated, place in the fridge for half an hour.
This will help the coating firm up and will stop it from coming off when frying.
Step 3: Next the Blue Cheese Dip!
In a bowl:
- ½ cup of mayonnaise
- ½ a cup of sour cream
- ¼ cup of buttermilk
- 1 tsp minced garlic
- ½ tsp black pepper
- ½ tsp salt
- ½ tsp mustard powder
- Grate 50g of frozen blue cheese into the bowl using a micro plane
Mix it all together.
Step 4: Next the Sauce!
You can beat the original hot sauce for this recipe, Franks Hot Sauce.
For the sauce, you’ll need 2 parts hot sauce, to 1-part butter Melt the butter in the hot sauce.
If you find this is too hot, have the sauce 1 part hot sauce, to 1 part butter.
Once the butter is fully combined, let cool.
Step 5: Next Setup Up Your BBQ or Store Top.
Place a deep pot over the heat and half fill with oil, I’m using canola oil.
Bring the oil up to a temp of 350f to 180c.
Step 6: Lower the Chicken Into the Oil Away From Yourself.
Fry the chicken for 7 to 10 minutes.
Make sure to turn every couple of minutes to evenly cook.
This chicken is looking amazing!
Place your buns onto toast.
Place the chicken into the pot of buffalo sauce, stir around to coat the top.
Step 8: All That’s Left to Do Is to Build This Sandwich.
On the bun add some leafy lettuce followed by the chicken.
Top with some of the blue cheese sauce, trust me it’s worth adding.
Place the bun on top.
Step 9: There You Have It! Buffalo Fried Chicken Sandwich.
This was amazing! It’s the best of buffalo wings but in sandwich form.
