Step 1: Clarify With ACV

To do the Max Hydration Method, you want to start off with fresh, clean hair. Clarify your hair with an Apple Cider Vinegar rinse. Mix one part Apple Cider Vinegar with 2 parts water. Pour the mixture onto you scalp first and massage to lift up dirt. Pour the rest of the rinse onto your hair. When hair is clean, rinse thoroughly.

*TIP: Put ACV mixture into and applicator bottle to make process easier.*

Step 2: Co-Wash & Detangle

Split hair into sections. On each section, apply a sulfate free conditioner and gently detangle hair. Your can detangle with a wide-comb, denman brush, or your fingers. After you detangle, let conditioner sit for 15-20 minutes with a plastic cap on then rinse.

Step 3: Clay Rinse

After hair is fully rinsed out, apply a clay rinse. Mix 1 cup of Bentonite Clay with 2-3 cups of warm water. Apply the mix to your hair in sections. Let the mix sit on your hair 15-20 minutes then rinse. BE GENTLE!

*Be careful not to touch hair too much when rinsing because the clay is hard!*

Step 4: Condition & Gel

While hair is still soaking wet, split hair into sections. On each section, apply a sulfate - free, leave- in conditioner. Rake the conditioner gently through your hair with your fingers. After the conditioner, apply a quarter sized amount of gel on hair. Gently rake through hair. Repeat on each section and you're done!

*TIP: For extra curl definition, twirl hair with fingers after you apply the gel.*

Do you do this all on one day and repeat it for as many days as you like or do you do a bit on each day?

You’re supposed to do it all in one day. But that’s a lot and hard for most ppl to do. What some ppl do, as well as myself is split it up. I will do the first 3 steps. Put a plastic cap on tied down and then in the morning rinse the clay out. Then all you have is the last two steps which is to add the conditioner and the gel. It is said that once you have completed all steps that is considered as one completed process and then you do it all over again. It is suggested to do this for 7 days in a row and then every 2-3 days afterwards for best results. I have 4C and yes I have seen and can feel the results.

The bentonite clay cleanses your hair a bit more. It leaves your hair soft and helps to define curly hair.
