Introduction: How to Kick People Off of Your Internet (UDP Attack)

Hello, in this instructable I will be detailing how to kick someone from your network temporarily (or at least cause them some major annoyance).

To do this we will be executing a UDP attack. Sending a couple hundred packets per millisecond, almost ensuring their internet connection to drop out.

This really has no practical use for most people but maybe your little brother/sister is being a bit too annoying, listening to Youtube too loudly in the lounge or something, and you are just trying to get some peace and quiet.
Or maybe you're just trolling people on your network.
Whatever it is, this is the way to kick people off of your network.

*disclaimer*
You probably shouldn't try this on a public network or a school one, I mean you could, but if anyone wanted to know who was attacking them, it would be blatantly obvious, so you should probably use this one for friends and family only.

Step 1: Step One: Installing Necessary Programs (free)

The best way to find other people's IP's on your network you should install an IP scanner, there are lots of free ones but I personally use Advanced Port Scanner, (it downloads as pscan24 instead of it's actual name but it is the right program) it comes with no malware and is free to use. (I will now refer to it as APS).

The next program we will be using is Low Orbit Ion Cannon (referred to from now on as LOIC). This program is also free (source forge says it has malware but I have yet to find anything to incriminate it, nor has my antivirus).

*Note*
Both LOIC and APS are portable so you can use them on the go, although as explained in the introduction I wouldn't recommend it.

*Skip to the next step if you know how to install programs*

APS is a simple install.exe if I remember correctly and there should be no bundled programs (as long as you got it from the linked site).

LOIC will download in a zipped folder, just extract it to wherever you want to run it, there's not even an install.
(Yes, that is kind of malware-esk but I haven't run into any problems with it).

Step 2: Finding the IP and Preparing to Execute a UDP Attack.

Start LOIC and APS.

Now go to your APS window, click scan and look for the device you want to kick off, if your target has conveniently named their device this will be easier (it was already really easy), then look for the IP (beside the device name/ID), copy it into LOIC and click lock-on.

Step 3: Final Step: Launching Your UDP Attack.

Now finally all you have to do is fill in the rest of the IP info (as shown in the picture), make sure the "method" option is set to UDP and when you're ready click "IMMA CHARGIN MAH LASER".

*Note*

If the device you are targeting has a specified port or range of ports you should use one of those instead of the default it's set to (port 80).

*Second note*

While the default amount of threads may be adequate, I'd go with 200 threads at maximum speed (with a fast router) to achieve a noticeable effect within less than a minute.

*Last note*

You will notice a severe drop in network performance if you want to use this while also browsing the internet (streaming videos will be highly affected).
