Introduction: How to Kick a Soccer Ball

This is a step by step tutorial on how to properly kick a soccer ball.

Step 1: The Approach

When preparing to kick a soccer ball, you must first approach the ball. To do this, count out the amount of steps it will take you to place your non dominant or non-kicking foot next to the ball.

Step 2: Plant Foot

The next step before kicking the ball is to place your plant foot (non dominant/non-kicking) next to the ball. This is important because it dictates where your kicking foot will strike the ball.

Step 3: Striking the Ball

Once your plant foot is in place, strike the ball with the laces of your shoe. The ball should hit your shoe slightly towards the inside of your foot.

Step 4: Follow Through

After striking the ball, it is crucial to follow through. Your follow through is key in determining how much power and accuracy the ball will have after you kick it.

Step 5: Putting It All Together

Approach the ball. Place your plant foot. Strike the Ball. Follow Through. And that is how you kick a soccer ball.
