Coconut Burfi is a simple and delicious sweet dish you can make very easily at home. It does not require many ingredients and takes about 30 minutes to make

Step 1: Ingredients

  1. One full coconut
  2. Condensed Milk
  3. Few pieces of cardamom
  4. About 25 grams of Cashew nuts
  5. One cup of sugar
  6. Cow's ghee

Step 2: Preparation

  1. Grate the coconut and keep it separate
  2. Remove seeds from cardamom pods and make a fine powder
  3. Roughly crush the cashew nuts
  4. Take one cup of condensed milk from the can

Step 3: Prepare the Mold

  1. Before proceeding further, prepare the mold for the coconut burfi
  2. Take out a suitable mold and line it with parchment paper
  3. grease inside of the parchment paper with few drops of ghee

Step 4: Cooking

  1. Heat a frying pan over medium flame and add a table spoon of ghee
  2. Add grated coconut, sugar and condensed milk on the pan
  3. Add the cardamom powder to the pan and mix well

Step 5: Transfer to the Mold

  1. Cook till all water content evaporates from the pan
  2. At this time the thickened mix will not stick to the sides
  3. Now transfer the cooked mix into the mold we already prepared
  4. Press the contents with a spoon and spread it evenly
  5. Greasing the spoon with ghee will prevent the mix from sticking to the spoon

Step 6: Layer With Cashew Nut Powder

  1. Sprinkle a layer of Cashew nut powder on top
  2. Spread it evenly and press with a greased spoon

Step 7: Cut Into Pieces

  1. Keep the mold with the mix aside to cool
  2. When it is half cooled cut into pieces using knife

Allow the Burfi to completely cool and serve
