In this instructable I will be showing you how to make vanilla cupcakes and vanilla frosting.
You will need measuring cups, bowls, a blender, a whisk, a toothpick, and a cupcake pan. Next, you will need to gather butter, sugar, vanilla extract, eggs, all-purpose flour, baking soda, and milk.
Step 1: Step 1: Cream Together Butter and Sugar
You will need to cream together the ⅓ cup of butter with a ½ cup of sugar until light and moist.
Step 2: Step 2: Add Vanilla Extract
Add 1 tsp of vanilla extract and mix it in.
Step 3: Step 3: Add 2 Eggs
Next, add 2 eggs (one at a time) to the batter and Mix it well.
Step 4: Step 4: Add Flour and Baking Soda
Add 1 1/4 cups of all purpose flour, 1 1/4 tsp of baking soda & 1/4 cup of milk. Mix well until all its of flour disappear.
Step 5: Preheat Your Oven
Preheat your oven to 350 degrees.
Step 6: Step 6: Get Cupcakes Liners
Line your cupcake pan with cupcake liners
Step 7: Step 7: Fill the Cupcake Liners
Add the batter into the cupcake liners. Fill them 1/2 way up
Step 8: Step 8: Bake Cupcakes
Bake the cupcakes for 15-20 minutes. Insert a toothpick and if it comes out clean, your cupcakes are done.
Step 9: Step 9: Let Them Cool Down
Let them cool for a few minutes in the pan then take them out. Voila! Your awesome and delicious cupcakes are done!
Step 10: Step 10: Mix Sugar and Butter
In a medium bowl, mix 3 cups of powdered sugar and 1/3 cup of butter with a spoon or electric mixer on low speed.
Step 11: Step 11: Stir Vanilla Extract and Milk
Stir in 1 ½ teaspoons vanilla extract and 1 to 2 tablespoon of the milk.
Step 12: Step 12:
Gradually beat in the remaining milk to make the frosting smooth and spreadable. If the frosting is too thick, beat in more milk a few drops at a time. If the frosting becomes too thin, beat in a small amount of powdered sugar. You are done making your frosting.
