Step 1: Ingredients Needed
- Green gram - 1/2 cup
For the seasoning
- Mustard - 3/4 tsp
- Hing - a pinch
- Urad dal - 1/2 tsp
- Green chilli - 1 finely chopped
- Big Onion - 1 chopped
- Curry leaves - few
Step 2: How to Prepare
Wash and pressure cook green gram with less water and salt for 1 whistle in medium flame .
The green gram should be soft but not mashed up.
Drain any excess water.
Heat a tsp of oil in a kadai/pan,add mustard seeds, when it splutters, add hing, urad dal, green chilli and curry leaves .
Then add onions saute it till onions become translucent .
Add pressure cooked green gram and saute it for 2 mins on a low flame , check for salt and mix it well. Remove from flame and serve it .
