How to Make LED Chaser Using NE555 IC BC547

Hii friend,

Today I am going to make an LED Chaser circuit using NE555 IC and BC547 Transistor.This LED Chaser is different from other LED Chasers circuit.

Step 1: Components Required -

(1.) LED - 3V x5 {Any color}

(2.) Diode - 1N4007 x1

(3.) Transistor - BC547 x5

(4.) IC - NE555 x1

(5.) Capacitor - 25V 100uf x1

(6.) Capacitor - 25V 470uf x1

(7.) Resistor - 330 Ohm x5

(8.) Resistor - 1K x1

(9.) Resistor - 2.2K x1

(10.) Resistor - 10K x6

(11.) Input Power supply - 12V DC

Step 2: Transistor - BC547

This is the Pinout of BC547 Transistor.

C - Collector,

B - Base and

E - Emmiter

Step 3: Connect All Transistors

Connect emmiter pin of one transistor to base pin of other transistor and like this we have to connect all transistors as you can see in the picture.

Step 4: Connect 10K Resistors

Solder 10K resistor to base pin of all transistors and other side of 10K Resistor connect each other as connected in the picture.

Step 5: Connect 330 Ohm Resistor

Next solder 330 ohm resistors to +ve Legs of all LEDs as you can see in the picture.

Step 6: Connect LEDs to Transistors

Next solder -ve legs of all LEDs to Collector pins of all transistors as solder in the picture.

Step 7: Connect Diode and +ve Legs of All LED

Next connect +ve Legs of all LEDs to each other as solder in picture.

Connect Anode of 1N4007 Diode to 10K Resistors and Cathode to +ve legs of all LEDs as you can see in the picture.

Step 8: Connect 2.2K Resistor

Solder 2.2K Resistor between Anode and Cathode of 1N4007 Diode as you can see in the picture.

Step 9: Connect 470uf Capacitor

Next Solder +ve pin of 25V 470uf capacitor to 10K Resistor/Anode of Diode and -ve pin to Emmiter pin of 5th transistor as you can see in the picture.

Step 10: Connect Pin-2 and Pin-6 of NE555 Ic

Solder pin-2 and pin-6 of NE555 ic.

Step 11: Connect Pin-4 and Pin-8

Next Solder pin-4 and pin-8 of NE555 ic.

Step 12: Connect 1K Resistor

Solder 1K Resistor between Pin-7 and Pin-8 of 555 IC.

Step 13: Connect 10K Resistor

Solder 10K Resistor between Pin-6 and Pin-7 of 555 IC.

Step 14: Connect 25V 100uf Capacitor

Next solder 100uf capacitor to the IC.

Solder +ve pin of capacitor to pin-2 and -ve pin to pin-1 of the IC as solder in the picture.

Step 15: Connect a Wire

Solder a wire from +ve legs of all LEDs to Pin-4 of the IC as you can see in the picture.

Step 16: Connect Second Wire

Solder next wire from -ve pin of 470uf capacitor to pin-3 of 555 IC as you can see in the picture.

Step 17: Connect Power Supply

Now connect input power supply to the circuit.

Connect +ve input power supply to Pin-8 and -ve input power supply to pin-1 of the 555 IC as you can see in the picture.
