Introduction: How to Make Motor Controller Circuit

About: Share diy projects to those who have the same hobby with me

Hii friend,

Some times we require less RPM (Rotation Per Minute)of motor and some times we require very high RPM of motor. So today I am going to make a circuit using IRFZ44N MOSFET that will control the RPM of motor. We can use this circuit upto 15V DC power supply.

This circuit require only Z44N MOSFET and a variable resistance.

Let's get started,

Step 1: Take All Materials As Shown Below

Materials required -

(1.) Potentiometer/ Variable resistor - 100K

(2.) DC Motor - 12V

(3.) MOSFET - IRFZ44N

(4.) Step-down Transformer - 12V with rectifier (For 12V DC Power supply)

(5.) Connecting wires

Step 2: Connect MOSFET to the Potentiometer

Firstly we have to connect MOSFET to the potentiometer.

Solder Gate pin of MOSFET to middle pin of potentiometer and

Solder Drain pin of MOSFET to 1st pin of potentiometer as you can see in the picture.

Step 3: Connect Input Power Supply Wire

Next we have to connect Input power supply wire to the circuit.

NOTE : We have to give input power supply upto 15V DC.

Solder -ve wire of input power supply to 3rd pin of potentiometer and

solder +ve wire of input power supply to the 1st pin of potentiometer/Drain pin of MOSFET as you can see in the picture.

Step 4: Connect Wires in the Motor

Connect +ve and -ve wire in the motor as you want the rotation of motor.

Step 5: Connect Output Power Supply Wire

Next we have to connect output power supply wire/Motor wire.

Solder -ve wire of motor to -ve wire of input power supply and

solder +ve wire of motor to source pin of the MOSFET as you can see in the picture.

Step 6: HOW TO USE IT

Give power supply to the circuit and rotate the knob of potentiometer in clock wise direction.

As we will rotate the knob then motor will start rotating.

This type we can make motor controller circuit using IRFZ44N MOSFET.
