Introduction: How to Make Smartphone Controlled Robot

Do you ever think to control your robot wirelessly or over using smartphone ?

If yes, then your reading right post . In this post I'll give you step by step procedure .

I made a simple robot which can be controlled using smartphone but you can put some extra things like robotic servo arms, some lighting .

I also given my video link for step by step procedure.

Step 1: Gather All Components and Tools

you will need the components are as follows-

1 x Arduino uno

1 x HC-05 bluetooth module

1 x L293D motor driver

few jumper wires

and your robot chasis (actually I made my own by wood and fixed by some nut bolts)

and tools are

1. soldering iron


3.solder wire

you can also order components and tools from given link below if you dont have it.

Jumper wires -

arduino nano -

or you can used

arduino uno -

HC-05 -

soldering iron -

Step 2: Connections

Connect 4 jumper wires to HC-05 bluetooth module.

Plug in Vcc and Gnd pins of bluetooth module in Arduino 5v and Gnd pin respectively.

Connect Tx pin of bluetooth module in Rx pin of arduino and Rx pin of bluetooth module to Tx pin of arduino.

connect pin 6 and 7 in left motor (IN) pins of L293D module

and connect pin 8 and 9 in right motor (IN) pins of L293D module.

connect right motor pin to right motor (OUT) pins of L293D module

and connect left motor pin to left motor (OUT) pins of L293D module.

Step 3: Burn the Code

you can also add robotic servo arm and other devices on your robot.
