In this instructable, I will show you how to make stuffed bell peppers.
Step 1: Ingredients
To make this recipe, you will need:
1/8 tsp black pepper
1/8 tsp cumin seed
2 tsp worschestire sauce
1/2 c diced onion
1/2 tsp basil
10 bell peppers (mine were small, if you use larger bell peppers you can use less)
1 14.5 oz can diced tomatoes
1 lb ground beef
1 tsp salt (plus a little extra salt to season the bell peppers before you stuff them)
1/2 tsp italian seasoning
1 tbsp vegetable oil
1/2 tsp oregano
2 cloves of garlic
1 c shredded cheese
1/2 c cooked rice
Step 2: First Things First
Remove the tops and seeds from the bell peppers.
Step 3: Slicin' and Dicin
Dice two of the bell peppers.
Step 4: Garlic
Peel and mince the garlic.
Step 5: Boilin'
Place the bell peppers into boiling water and cook for 5 minutes.
Step 6: Drainin'
After boiling, place the bell peppers upside down to drain.
Step 7: Sauté
Heat the vegetable oil on medium high heat and sauté the diced bell peppers, garlic and onions.
Step 8: Turn the Bell Peppers Over Before Stuffing Them.....
Sprinkle the inside of the bell peppers with salt.
Step 9: Beefy
Brown the ground beef.
Step 10: Add the Stuff In!
After the meat is completely cooked, add the sautéd mixture, tomotoes, seasonings, worschestire sauce and rice and cook for 20 minutes.
After 20 minutes, stir 1/2 of the cheese in too.
Step 11: Stuffins!
Stuff the bell peppers until each are full with the mixture.
Step 12: Bake!
Bake in an oven that's been preheated to 350° for 25 minutes.
Step 13: Cheese!
After 25 minutes, top the bell peppers with the rest of the cheese and bake for an additional 5 minutes.
Step 14: Enjoy!
