How to Make the Best Homemade Pizza

What makes this pizza so good is the combination of ingredients.. You must use fresh ingredients and you will wind up with a very tasty and satisfying pizza!

8+ sprigs Fresh Cilantro from the produce department
1/2 cup Sliced mushrooms (not canned)
4 slices bacon (cooked)
1 big handful pepperoni
1 bag of mozzarella cheese
1 fresh pizza dough lump (some pizza shops will sell this to you for a few bucks)
8 oz of your own secret tomato sauce (make it yourself, but use fresh onions and fresh garlic)
(My wife wouldn't let me tell her recipe, but it is very easy to do..)

Step 1: Gather Ingredients

Heat the sauce while chopping up these ingredients..

Also, if you have a pizza stone, you should let it get hot in the oven about 425 degrees F.

Step 2: Prepare the Dough

This step takes some practice. gently shape the dough into a pizza circle utilising gravity to help it shap.. It takes a little practice and watching the guys at the pizza shop helps, just don't attempt to throw it in the air, cause that is really more for show.. although if I could do it that way, I would.. Once it is rounded and begins to stay that way, you can punch the dough a little while it is lying flat on the counter/cutting board.

Step 3: Add the Toppings...

I like to layer the cheese then pepperoni last.. with all other ingredients underneath it.

First cover with the sauce, then add the mushrooms and bacon, next cilantro and cheese and finally add the pepperoni..

Yummy Yummy..

Step 4: Heat and Then Enjoy

425 for about 20- 25 minutes then let it set for about 5 mins and enjoy.....

I don't mean to sound like a jerk, but I keep seeing baking recipes with that call for pre-made dough. If your going to go through the effort of baking your own pizza (or other bread related edibles) You should try making your own dough. It is super simple to make and you can customize it to taste way better than some store bought product with unknown/questionable ingredients. Plus if you already have a homemade sauce, you can brag about how awesome you are at making The Best Homemade Pizza from scratch. Just a friendly suggestion.

While I agree with you, particularly since we make our own dough now everyime, this was several years ago and we were excited to do this at that time... Our dough beats the pre made dough anytime now... Thank hit for your comments!

Actually, tossing the pizza dough is not all for show. When starting out, you must leave a thicker rim of doe around the outer edge. After a little prestretching, the spinning when tossed in the air causes the heavier edges to pull away from the center, so it does serve a good purpose to do this.
