How to Make a Crochet Animal

Introduction: How to Make a Crochet Animal

In this tutorial, you will learn skills and concepts about crocheting to be able to create all kinds of animals in the future. Making this helped me learn a lot about crocheting and gave me the practice to be able to increase my speed. Special thanks to VACH for the pattern. Note that VACH's pattern for jake the dog but that is not what I made. I just used the patterns to know how big the parts should be.

Step 6: Sew Parts Together

The long tails that you left will be used to sew onto the body of your animal. I would recommend starting with the eyes and nose to get a good idea of where the rest of the parts should go. You should also use the remaining nose yarn to sew a mouth below the nose.

Recommended Order:

  • Eyes
  • Nose
  • Ears
  • Arms
  • Legs
  • Tail

Super cute! Overall, this is great. Maybe you could specify this project is for an intermediate level crochet-er, or maybe put in links to other blogs that can explain how to crochet in the round, create magic circles, and read crochet patterns (in case someone is a beginner?)
