Introduction: How to Make a Massive 1000 Watts Chaser

About: I like to make diy electronics, electrical and life hacks projects.

Hello everyone,

I will show you how you can make a massive 1000 watts chaser at home easily...

In this setup there are 5 channels & each channel can handle upto 1000 watts of power so the total power will be 5000 watts....

Here we use ic 4017 decade counter & ic 555...

Here Ic 555 uses as a astable multivbrator which produces pulse which is trigger the ic 4017..the pulse can be control by varying the preset....Also I use bt 136 triac to drive the ac load.....

if you want to drive large power then use heatsink .....

In this project I order the pcb from jlcpcb.com.....

I bought 10 pcs for only 2$.....

You can check their website..

Step 3: See the Circuit Diagram

Step 4: Circuit Explain

In this circuit I use ic 555,which works on astable multivibrator mode. The ic 555 produce pulses which is use to trigger the 4017 decade counter ic. In ic 555 we can change the output pulses using the 100k preset. In ic 4017 there are 10 outputs in which we will use 5 outputs which is q0-q4 & we will reset the pin 1 of the ic 4017 which is output 5.So when the output goes to 5 then the ic will be reset & the counter will begin from 0....

Here we use TRIAC to drive our ac load..... the output of the 4017 is use to trigger the bc 547 npn transistor which is use to drive the TRIAC. As we know there are three terminal of triac gate,A1 & A2....the output of the bc 547 trigger the gate of the bt 136 triac via current limiting resistor....the triac need very low amount of current to trigger. Also the load & the ac power supply will be connect in series with terminal A1 & A2.

The Gnd terminal & the neutral will be connect to together.

Step 5: Order the Pcb

Step 6: Assemble the Circuit

Step 7: Check Your Circuit

CAUTION- PLEASE DO NOT TOUCH ANY COMPONENT WHILE THE CIRCUIT IS PLUGGED IN...

THIS CAN GIVE YOU A BADLY SHOCK...TAKE A BOX & PUT THE CIRCUIT INSIDE THE BOX
