Introduction: How to Make a Tortilla Pizza Snack
In this instructable I will show you how you can make a tasty tortilla pizza snack. This tortilla pizza snack is great to serve when friends or family come to call. You can prepare them in advance and store them in fridge or freezer. So no need for last minute stress.
Tortillas are a great substitute for pizza dough. Just the fact that they are ready to use makes them a favorite. For this recipe I use three medium size tortillas but you can decide to use large size tortillas if you want bigger pizza bites. To cut the pizza bites I used the lid from my peanut butter jar but you can also use a ring or cut by hand.
I manage to yield twelve pieces from three tortillas and press them in a muffin tin. To make life easy I choose ready pizza sauce passata classica but you can also make a sauce from sieved tomatoes and add some pizza herbs and spices.
Start with some spinata romana, then some onion, pizza sauce, grated cheese, pizza sauce, some grated Mozzarella to finish. Repeat twelve times while you pre-heat the oven at 420℉. Bake the tasty tortilla pizza snack for 15-20 minutes or until the cheese has melted. They might get a little soft depending on the amount of pizza sauce you use and the amount of water that is in the sauce. Let them cool just a little bit before serving on a plate. As a cold snack they will be great as well.
Store them in the freezer wrapped in aluminium foil or in a closed container in the fridge. Just put them in a pre heated oven in a skillet so they will warm through quickly.
