Step 1: Step 1: Preparation
You will need:
- A blender that can crush ice
- Ice cubes
- Berries (Frozen is best, fresh berries are fine, but they may curdle the milk)
- Drinking chocolate powder (AKA, hot chocolate powder)
- A tablespoon
- A 1 metric cup (250mL) measure
Step 2: Step 2: Milk
Add 1 metric cup of milk to the blender.
Step 3: Step 3: Drinking Chocolate
Add 3-4 heaped tablespoons of drinking choc to the milk (you can add less or more, depending on personal preference).
Step 4: Step 4: Frozen Berries
Add 1 metric cup of berries to the milk and drinking choc in the blender (Once again, you can have more or less, depending on personal preference).
Step 5: Step 5: Ice Cubes
Add some ice cubes into the blender (This is why you need a blender that can crush ice), about 3-4 will do.
Step 6: Step 6: Will It Blend?
Now turn on your blender, to the highest speed (normally labelled "Ice Crushing", or use the Smoothie program if you have one of those new-fangled fancy blenders), and let that run for about 30 secs, or until you can't hear the ice being crushed anymore.
Step 7: Step 7: Enjoy!
Enjoy your berry choc smoothie! You could add things like ice cream if you wanted to, before you blend it.
