Introduction: How to Make the Most Delicious Homemade Hot Cocoa

To keep warm in the winter with the most delicious homemade hot cocoa, you will need:

Ingredients:
2 cups of milk
1/4 cup of cocoa powder
1 cup of warm water
1/2 cup of sugar
a pinch of salt
1 Tablespoon of vanilla


Useful utensils:
2 cups glass measuring cup
1/4 measuring cup
1/2 measuring cup
1 Tablespoon
1 whisk
1 spoon
1 ladle
3 quart pot
4 cocoa mugs

Preparation time: 5 minutes
Cooking time: 5-10 minutes
Stove setting: medium heat

Step 1:

Place the 3 quart pot onto the stove. Measure 2 cups of milk into the 2 cups glass measuring cup and pour into the pot.

Step 2:

Turn on medium heat.

Step 3:

Measure 1/4 cup of cocoa powder and mix into 1 cup of warm water in the glass measuring cup.

Step 4:

Add the cocoa water into the milk in the 3 quart pot.

Step 5:

Use the whisk to mix the cocoa water and milk mixture thoroughly.

Step 6:

Measure 1/2 cup of sugar, then add the 1/2 cup of sugar to the cocoa water/milk mixture in the 3 quart pot.

Step 7:

Now, use the whisk again to mix the sugar into the cocoa mixture.

Step 8:

Add the pinch of salt to the 3 quart pot.

Step 9:

Use the whisk, yet again, to mix the mixture well.

Step 10:

Measure 1 Tablespoon of vanilla and add it to the 3 quart pot.

Step 11:

Use the whisk to mix the mixture, for the last time. 

Step 12:

After all ingredients are added and mixed in thoroughly, continue stirring it with the spoon for about 5 minutes. This will prevent burning the hot cocoa. With the same spoon, taste test the hot cocoa for desired temperature. 

Step 13:

Pour finished hot cocoa with the ladle into your favorite cocoa mug and enjoy.
