Step 1: Gather Supplies
Standard deck of cards containing all 52 cards (excluding the joker cards) and "money" used for betting
Step 2: Become Familiar With the Value of Each Card
Cards 2-9 have their face value
Cards 10, Jack, Queen, and King have a face value of 10
Ace has a face value of 1 or 11 depending on what helps you the most
Step 3: Decide the Dealer
Determine who the dealer will be as this is the person who you are playing against even if there are multiple people you are playing along with.
You will not playing against the other players just the dealer. However, you can make it a competition against the other players to see who can earn the most.
Step 4: Betting
Decide how much "money" you want to bet. After deciding, place your bet on the table. Don't get too risky at first!
Step 5: Dealing
The dealer will deal 2 random cards both with the face up to each player (called your hand)
The dealer will deal 2 random cards to themselves with one card facing up and the other facing down
The objective is to have your hand have a value of 21 or close to 21 without going over 21 (bust)
Step 6: Playing Your Hand
Depending on the current value of your hand in front of you, you can 'hit' for another card if your current value is much less than 21
Or 'stand' to not receive another card if you feel satisfied that your current hand value is the closest to 21 you will get and that the dealer doesn't have a hand value closer to 21
Step 7: Revealing of Dealers Cards
After everyone at the table is satisfied with their hand, the dealer will reveal their last card in their hand by turning it over, facing up
Step 8: Results
If you have a larger face value than 21, you bust
If you have a lower hand value than the dealer, you lose
If you have a higher hand value than the dealer or have a value of 21, you win!
Step 9: Receive Payment
If you have won, receive the payout "money"
Step 10: Playing More Rounds
Repeat steps 3-9 if you want to go another around with your friends
