Introduction: How to Public Speak....without Fear

This guide will teach you the secrets of public speaking and how to succeed in it!

Step 1: Just Wing It!!

Studies show that people who are more worried and have their speech pre-planned, are more prone to more nervousness and messing up on stage. By just winging it and letting the words flow to your mouth naturally as if you are having a conversation with one person, not only will you feel more comfortable with yourself, but you will keep your audience more interested.

Step 2: Use Hand Gestures.... and Body Language!

Hand gestures will keep your audience more entertained and have them understand your topic better. Your body language, such as dropped shoulders, calm pacing, calm stance, makes not only you feel more relaxed, but your audience as well.

Step 3: EYE CONTACT!!! NUMBER ONE

Eye contact is probably the most important part of public speaking. Looking up when you are talking, not only projects your voice out to the audience, but makes them feel more engaged and more interested to hear what you have to say. By looking at the audience and/or specific people, you make the audience feel much more comfortable. Think of it as if you were in the audience. Would you be more engaged in the person looking up and making it fun and entertaining, or the boring guy whose eyes never left his paper. Yeah... that's what I thought.
