    Thank you so much for speeding up your video.

    I eat it a little differently.  I don't cut it around the equator like you do.  I cut down through the poles.  Then I cut it in quarter slices and then 1/8 slices.  I am usually in a hurry (and by myself) so I suck the grapefruit off the rind leaving 8 pieces of rind to throw away. 

    The secret to getting excellent, sweet, thin skinned citrus is to make sure the skin has no indented pores.  The skin should be as smooth as possible.  You should be able to see spots where pores might have been but for the thinnest skin, no pores.  Grapefruit should look squatty (bigger around in the middle than around the poles).

    :) Thanks for commenting and for the great tips on how to choose great grapefruit. My husband and I both love grapefruit. I will definitely remember to look for the good ones the next time I do grocery shopping!
