With very little space in my dorm room, but with Halloween around the corner, I had to find some way to decorate what space I had with at least one frightful piece. So here you have it: this year's punk pumpkin.

Step 1: What You Need:
- Sharpies in whatever colors you want
- A pencil
- A glue gun
- Spikes or other embellishments
- And of course, your pumpkin
Step 2: Design the Face
The most important part of a pumpkin is it's face, as usually it isn't carved or drawn all the way around. Once you have an idea, sketch your face on the pumpkin with a pencil for guidelines. I decided to add some punk hand gestures along side it, so get creative!
Step 3: Fill in Your Design
This one is fairly self explanatory. Take your sharpies (I used red and black) to fill in or outline the designs you drew for the face.
Step 4: Give 'em Some Tattoos!
Give your pumpkin some tattoos! Using the same process as with the face, draw and color some band logos or other symbols around your punk-in. I decided on Green Day, Joan Jett, Nirvana, and the anarchy symbol for mine.
Step 5: Add Some Spikes!
You can't have a punk pumpkin without spikes. Simply take your embellishments and hot glue them wherever you please. Since I made a spike mohawk with mine, I colored the stem silver with a silver sharpie to match the other spikes.
And voilà! You have a perfectly gnarly desk decoration for the Halloween season.
*Side note: This may not be the case for all pumpkins, but the waxiness on mine dried out my sharpies pretty quickly, especially the black one since I had to use it so much. So you may have to stock up on sharpies for this project
