Step 1: First Off, Download
Download the link here http://games.softpedia.com/get/Tools/Halo-3rd-Person-View-Mod.shtml, When you do so, save it to your desktop, so you can access it easier.
Step 2: Using Controlls
Ok, so you've successfully downloaded it. Now, you need to use the controlls for it. On it, it says some thing like what controll turns it on or off, to zoom in or out, move the camera up or down, or disable for vechiles and zooming (I reccomend you don't check it for vechiles). Make sure that the command you use for it isn't already taken for the game, or move them arround.
Step 3: Starting Halo
Once you've completed the commands, you're ready to start Halo. LEAVE THE PROGRAM RUNNING!!! Once you get to the main muenu, you can controll it from there, and then you'll know weather it worked or not.
Step 4: Fixing Gathering Exception Data Problem
Sometimes when you use a certain command, Halo will close down and you'll get Gathering Exception Data... Then, halo stops for a while. Few reasons why that'll happen, 1, you've modded the game way too much. 2, You've using a command that has already been used. And 3, you have the newest version of halo. There are some ways to try to fix this, it won't work all the time. One way is to reinstall halo, re-download the program, or three, when it says the problem, click send error, and then download the patch. When you dowload it, save it to where halo is on the local disk c
Step 5: Having Fun With It
With this, you can even use it in cutsceens, like when Master Chief takes his helmet off, see what happens! And if this 3rd person mod doesn't work, then try to use this one:
