Intro: How to Install Models in MMD V926

I was shocked at the lack of MMD tutorials on this site! Seeing this as an Internet sin, I have decided to make one myself.

How to install models in the latest version of MikuMikuDance.

Model used: Shamolka's Sonic Miku; Gordon Freeman by BloodyKylie

Step 1: Find Your Model

I recommend using DeviantART, since it's the best place to find MMD material.

Groups in DA I suggest: MMD Mall

Step 2: Download Your Model

Click the download included in the desc of the model. Sometimes, the files are password protected. To avoid this, use the password given in the desc by the author.

Note: You cannot download most models if you have AdBlock on.

Step 3: Open the File and Drag and Drop the File Inside

If your download was a .RAR, extract it with WinRAR or 7zip first, then drag the folder out. If there's no folder inside, just the textures and bases, then extract the .zip file. Delete the original file.

Step 4: Voila!

You now have a brand new model in MMD! Now make it do Gangnam Style with Gordon Freeman.

While your tutorial was good, I still don't know how to install the models. The picture uploaded does not convey this information. I don't know how because you did not tell me where to PUT the extracted files/folder. Thanks for trying, though.

    Put them in MikuMikuDance/Userfile/Model

I downloaded MMD 3 times and have 3 Userfile files. I deleted 2 of the MMDs but the Userfiles are still there. I don't know which one is the right Userfile. Does it matter?

Drag the file into what? And with the .zip files, do you drag it in without unzipping it or drag the file after you unzip it in?

i already know how to load MMD models, but there is a problem:
NONE of the TDA models I use load up properly!
I've been using Jjininomu's models, like Fukase, Oliver, and Piko, and I do the same as i do for every other model, I just drop them, I don't mess with the other files, I've been using Animasa models, and awhile I've grown fond of them, I just don't like how they glitch more easily then TDA models, as well as they look like they were done more quickly, and TDA models look more gorgeous and have plenty of detail in them, not to mention the physics..the same has even been happening with a Meme-chan model, and the same has been happening with LAT models, if anybody knows of a solution, then please let me know, thanks!
I really want a solution with the MMD models though.

You must first extract (unzip or unrar) any model folder before you can use the model inside. Unzip lite is a good free program you can get to do unzip and unrar. Google it.

When you open the MMD program, you drag and drop the model file from within the model folder, into the program. The model file will be a file that has an extension of .pmd or .pmx. It is not an installation, you just load them by dropping them into the program and wait for them to load. You will have to click "ok" to complete loading a model.

There will probably be other files in the model's folder that have other extensions than .pmd or .pmx (like .png, .spa, .sph, .jpg, or .txt.) Leave them alone; they make the model have colors. You do not load them, they are there for the program to reference for what are called "textures." Except for .txt files which contain additional information about the model and the requests or credits from the maker.
